Galleria Bosoni

Old Master Painters

History

Founded by Luigi Bosoni in 1932, the Gallery was later carried on by Edoardo Giorgio Bosoni, a renowned expert in High Renaissance painting, particularly Flemish, Dutch, and Italian Masters, who made these fields the gallery’s area of specialization.

Today, the family business is passionately led by his son Roberto and granddaughter Alice: a team with extensive experience in the sector, offering not only paintings but also consultancy and advice to their clients.

Accredited by the FIMA Antiquarian Association, the gallery holds a substantial collection of paintings from the 14th to the 18th centuries, from both Italian and foreign schools. Among these works, a notable group of Flemish and Dutch paintings from the “Golden Age” stands out, which defines the gallery’s distinctly international profile.

In addition to the considerable number of valuable works, many of which have been exhibited in shows and published in important catalogues, what makes Galleria Bosoni special is its “small museum” organization.

This includes, following the model of the most prestigious European galleries, collaboration with restorers, art historians, and logistics experts.

Inside the gallery, there is also a rich specialized library, continually updated with key publications, exhibition catalogues, museum catalogues, and artist monographs.

A destination for collectors, scholars, and art enthusiasts, Galleria Bosoni presents itself not only as a place to purchase artwork but also as a meeting point or simply a space to enjoy the displayed works, which are periodically rotated, often around a thematic leitmotif (battle scenes, landscapes, still life, genre scenes, mythological stories, and sacred subjects).
